Hambright and Hoachlander Photograph Collection
The collection consists of 30 4x5 inch black and white photographs each with a corresponding negative. In 1987 photographers Anice Hoachlander and Harlan Hambright shot these images to document buildings on the 500 block of 9th Street NW and the 900 block of E Street NW in northwest Washington, D.C. These buildings were torn down to make way for a larger office building.

Stereoview Photograph Collection
The collection consists of 45 stereoviews depicting various scenes and persons from the District of Columbia. Stereoviews, also called “stereocards” or “stereotypes,” are two nearly identical card-mounted images placed side by side. When viewed through a stereo viewer or stereograph, they give the image a three-dimensional effect. They were very popular from 1854 through the mid-1930s and often illustrate historic and exotic locations.
Washington Navy Yard Photograph Collection
The collection consists of 31 3.5x5 inch and 30 8x10 inch images of buildings 137 (General Foundry) and 167 (Boiler Makers shop) in the Washington Navy Yard complex. The smaller images are interior and exterior views of buildings and the larger images are reproductions of architectural blueprints.
